All standard Sentera analytic Products are outlined in the Product Catalog which can be found at Products - Sentera Catalog.
The details about each Product, including the Flight Parameters needed to perform successful image capture, can be found in the Catalog. FieldAgent Mobile simplifies flight planning by importing these parameters directly from the Product Catalog.
Product
Based Flight Planning is currently only available for Flight Tasks, and cannot
be used during normal flight planning. This functionality is coming soon!
Flight Tasks are always for a particular Product. When opening the Task, the Product will appear in the Task details.
1. Click the drone
box.
2. Choose your drone from the list.
Changing the selected Drone may require camera re-selection.
1. Click one of the camera boxes.
2. Choose your camera from the list. Select each camera you will be using, including the onboard DJI camera if necessary.
The camera list is responsive to the Drone selection. Depending on the Drone selected, only the cameras that work with that Drone will be displayed.
Selecting “Product” will provide more information directly from the Product Catalog.
Review the details and scroll down to access a link to the complete online Product Catalog.
Flight Specification will give information about the Flight Specifications that will be used in Flight Planning based on the Equipment that has been selected and the corresponding Specifications for the Product from the Flight Task.
Flight Specification will also indicate if the selected equipment is compatible with the Product. If the drone and sensor combination is not valid for the Product selected, a warning describing the valid equipment will be displayed.
You will not be able to continue on with flight planning until a valid selection is made.
Once you have confirmed your equipment and flight specifications, Select “Review Parameters” to open the Flight Parameters screen.
From this screen, the Buffer and the flight Direction can be set.
Use the sliders for coarse adjustment and the +/- buttons to increment by 10ft or 10 degrees.
The Batteries required for the flight, the flight Duration and the number of Photos will update based on the changes to Buffer
The buffer is the distance beyond the field boundary the Drone will fly. The buffer can be positive, extending past the field boundary, or negative, only flying inside the field boundary.
Negative boundary buffers are useful
for fields with obstacles near the boundary, and flights which don’t require
the edges of the field to be captured.
Flight direction is the direction your drone will fly over the field. With a direction of 90 degrees, the drone will start on the west side, then fly to the east.
When the Buffer and Direction are set, tap the “Set Parameters” button.
The Flight screen will be opened to allow the mission to be flown as configured or to allow manual adjustment of the flight if desired to deviate from the Catalog Flight Specifications.
Be aware that deviating from the flight specifications can result in images that cannot be used to create the intended product analytics.
This flexibility is designed to allow experienced pilots to account for extenuating circumstances.
