FieldAgent - Real-Time Mapping

Real-Time Mapping is a feature in FieldAgent Mobile (iOS App) that creates a map of the area the drone is flying over. After flight, maps can be shared easily via text, email, or any other supported iOS sharing options. 

When to Use

Real-Time Mapping may be used over any mapping flight (recommended overlap of over 50%) when flying with a DJI Mavic or Phantom. Real-Time Mapping (RTM) provides an instant result of how a field is performing and can be useful when quickly determining where to scout a field.

Requirements

Real-Time Mapping requires a DJI Phantom 4 Pro or Mavic 2 Pro and FieldAgent 4.5.0 or later. Some iPhones or iPads may work better than others. See the FAQ section at the bottom of this article for recommend iOS devices.

How to Use

  1. Plan a flight. An overlap of greater than 50% is recommended.

  2. Turn on Real-Time Mapping.


  1. Fly. A Real-Time Map will populate on the map. (Shown below at 8X speed.)



  1. View and Share. A popup asking to share will appear after the flight.
