The Remote ID solution adds a small piece of user installable hardware to the PHX. This hardware is connected to the autopilot and broadcasts the Remote ID information per the FAA regulations of 14 CFR Part 89. 

What Information Is Broadcast?

Per the FAA regulations the following information is broadcast at all times when the drone is powered on:
  1. Drone ID (Serial number)
  2. Drone location and altitude
  3. Drone velocity
  4. Takeoff location and elevation
  5. Time mark

How Is the Information Broadcast?

The Remote ID solution for PHX uses the Bluetooth 4 and Bluetooth 5 beacon protocol to broadcast Remote ID information.  

How Can I See The Broadcast Information?

The easiest way to view Remote ID broadcasts is with a scanner application on a smartphone or tablet.
