FAQ: How Does FieldAgent Calculate NDVI, Red Edge, or Other Index Data?
All Sentera NDVI products are TrueNDVI® sensors that collect the near-infrared and visible red frequency spectrum data that is necessary to generate genuine NDVI measurements. Synthetic or false NDVI is not NDVI. Sentera does not build or support any false NDVI hardware, nor do we support false NDVI sensors in our software products.
Sentera has produced several different variants of our Single, Double, Quad, and specialty products to meet different customer requirements for spectral sensitivity, resolution, and optical quality. Each camera supplies a metadata configuration file that reports how the camera is configured. The processing software uses this information to correctly compute index information.
