Sentera PHX™ - Aircraft Battery Care and Maintenance

Sentera PHX™ - Aircraft Battery Care and Maintenance

BEST PRACTICES FOR CHARGING

For longest lifespan, charge your Sentera PHX™ aircraft battery at a room temperature of between 60 F (15 C) and 80 F (27 C).

Note: Batteries should never be charged in direct sunlight or heat.   For more information about charging your Sentera PHX™ aircraft battery click "Here"

STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS

Store your aircraft batteries at 3-4 LED’s corresponding to around 50-97% charge.  You should check batteries every 3 months of storage and charge them back up to 3-4 LEDs as needed.

You may need to discharge your aircraft battery down to 3-4 LED's before storing.  Discharging can be achieved by plugging the battery into your Sentera PHX™ aircraft with a payload installed.

Note: Do not run your Sentera PHX™ for more than 1 hour continuously, otherwise your battery charge could drop to low and your battery could become permanently damaged.

Batteries will slowly discharge over time, if the battery charge falls to zero LEDs the battery will become permanently damaged and will no longer recharge.

For longest lifespan, store batteries in a dry indoor location out of sunlight between the temperatures of 40 F (5 C) and 90 F (32 C).

EXPECTED LIFE SPAN

Sentera PHX™ aircraft battery expected life span is 200-500 charge cycles depending on use.  Poor charging and storage habits will lead to increased risk of battery damage and shortened life span.

DAMAGE AND DISPOSAL OF BATTERY

Any battery with punctures, strong chemical odor, or leaking cells should NEVER be used or charged.  If you notice battery swelling do not use this battery and contact Sentera Customer Support for assistance.

Make sure you dispose of damaged or unusable batteries at a local battery recycling location or in accordance with local regulations.  Damaged batteries may pose a health or fire hazard.
